Amazon has announced a new part-time staff pharmacist position at its Amazon Pharmacy location in Brooklyn, New York. The role is designed to support customers in accessing, choosing, and affording health products and services.
According to Amazon Jobs, the responsibilities of the pharmacist include dispensing and verifying prescriptions, managing patient profiles, coordinating transfers, processing new prescriptions, and performing system-based documentation while ensuring compliance with company procedures and federal and state regulations.
The pharmacist will also be responsible for conducting quality assurance checks, answering clinical questions, investigating errors, and collaborating with the pharmacy team to maintain customer satisfaction. Shifts are scheduled for early mornings across various five-hour schedules. Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science or Doctor of Pharmacy degree and an active pharmacist license in New York. Experience in long-term care or retail settings is preferred. Compensation ranges from $44.90 to $77.40 per hour depending on location.
