Amazon has announced a job opening in New York for a telecom tax manager in U.S. indirect tax compliance. The role is designed to lead and innovate tax compliance solutions across the company.

According to Amazon Jobs, the telecom tax manager will focus on leading U.S. indirect tax compliance for telecommunications services, including sales and use taxes, surcharges, regulatory fees, and franchise fees. The position will support Project Kuiper and other telecom initiatives by preparing and reviewing tax filings, resolving tax account balances, analyzing regulatory impacts, and implementing process efficiencies using emerging technologies.

Candidates are expected to have at least five years of experience in tax, finance, or related analytical fields. They should possess knowledge of U.S. telecommunications tax regulations and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office. Preferred qualifications include CPA certification or a master’s degree, as well as experience with tax compliance software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. The position offers a base salary ranging from $80,900 to $172,900 annually depending on location.
