Amazon has announced a new entry-level position for Workplace Health and Safety Specialists, set to begin in 2026. The role is available in New York, NY, and other locations across the United States. It aims to provide recent and upcoming graduates with extensive safety training and development opportunities to advance into leadership roles within the company.

According to Amazon Jobs, the company is targeting individuals who have completed or will complete their bachelor’s or master’s degrees between May 2024 and August 2026. The position offers hands-on experience in implementing safety programs, conducting incident investigations, performing risk assessments, and engaging in continuous improvement initiatives to prevent injuries and ensure compliance with both Amazon’s standards and those of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

Specialists will be stationed on-site at fulfillment centers, sort centers, or delivery stations. They will be required to lift up to 49 pounds, stand or walk for up to 10–12 hours per shift, and work in environments with varying temperatures and noise levels. Responsibilities include coaching associates and leadership on safety practices, conducting audits, facilitating training sessions, and promoting a culture of safety. The full-time position requires flexible scheduling that includes nights, holidays, and weekends. Base pay ranges from $50,500 to $76,500 depending on location. Relocation benefits are available for eligible candidates; however, sponsorship is not offered.

Amazon also provides a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employees and their families from day one for many roles. The company offers a wide range of services including online shopping platforms as well as media distribution through devices like Alexa and Fire TV. Cloud solutions are provided via Amazon Web Services (AWS).
