Jill Weissman, founder of Beyond the Bib, expressed that the Amazon and Enthuse Foundation Grant has provided essential validation and support, which she believes will drive her company’s growth. This statement was made during an interview shared prior to her participation in the Enthuse Foundation Pitch Competition.
“Beyond the financial support, the grant felt like Amazon saying, ‘We see what you’re building, and it matters,” said Weissman. “For a small, bootstrapped founder, that kind of recognition is rare and it pushes you to think even bigger about what your business can become.”
According to a Sell on Amazon announcement, the Amazon and Enthuse Foundation Grant acknowledges independent sellers who are making an impact in their communities with innovative products. The announcement highlights select winners, including founders who are set to participate in the Enthuse Foundation Pitch Competition. The program emphasizes Amazon’s ongoing commitment to fostering small business growth.
Beyond the Bib is a company based in Long Island that specializes in producing nutritious sauces and dips specifically designed for toddlers and young children. Weissman said, “This grant is allowing us to show up on Amazon the way we’ve always wanted to. For a small brand, having that extra support to refine your content and advertising can be the difference between being discovered or being invisible.” She noted that more than half of her company’s sales are generated through Amazon.
Amazon has announced that 2024 will mark 25 years since it opened its platform to independent sellers. The company reports these sellers have collectively generated over $2.5 trillion in sales. Additionally, Amazon states that more than 60% of its store sales now originate from small and medium-sized businesses.
Beyond the Bib further explains that Jill Weissman founded the company with the aim of providing developmentally appropriate, nutritious meal starter sauces and dips for young children. The brand focuses on creating easy-to-use products intended to help families introduce balanced flavors into their children’s diets. As demand continues to grow, Weissman is committed to expanding the company.
