Marist College announced on March 18 that its annual Day of Giving will take place on March 25, aiming to reach 4,000 donors in a single day. The college is encouraging members of the Marist community worldwide to participate as advocates and help drive donations.
The event seeks to unite alumni, students, parents, faculty, and staff in supporting scholarships and campus initiatives. Advocates are expected to play a key role by sharing their stories and encouraging others to contribute.
April Bourlier, Assistant Director of Alumni Relations and Advocate Team Lead, said, “What makes our Day of Giving so powerful is the strength of our Marist community. When alumni, students, parents, faculty, and staff step up as advocates and share what Marist means to them, they turn individual generosity into collective momentum.”
Advocates can participate by reaching out through social media or personal networks to inspire new donors. They also have opportunities to earn incentives from campus partners such as Mporium and the ProShop. Special prizes will be awarded to top advocates and those celebrating their reunion year may receive complimentary tickets for Homecoming events.
Adrianna Simone Yepes ’26 shared her experience as an advocate: “I was introduced to the Advancement Office during my first year, and it quickly became a safe space for me. Through that role, I learned how much donor support impacts student life.” Yepes added that seeing the community come together during Day of Giving is both thrilling and inspiring. As a scholarship recipient herself, she said donor generosity made her education possible: “Without donor funding, I would not have had the opportunity to attend Marist.”
Yepes now serves on the Senior Legacy Committee and encourages others to give back: “Every gift, no matter the size, makes a difference,” she said. “Supporting Day of Giving is about strengthening a community that once supported you and ensuring future students have access to the same opportunities we did.”
Community members interested in becoming advocates are invited to join virtual rallies ahead of the event or visit Marist’s website for more information.
