Pace University has been recognized in the Wall Street Journal’s America’s Best Colleges 2026 Rankings, moving up 15 spots to #242 out of 584 colleges. The ranking reflects improvements in student outcomes and continued efforts to prepare students for careers.

The university placed ahead of several well-known institutions, including New York University, the University of Miami, Hofstra University, and the City University of New York. According to the release, this position demonstrates Pace’s capacity to provide quality education at a competitive value.

Pace was also one of only four universities nationwide—including Stanford—to receive a perfect diversity score of 100. This score is based on factors such as ethnic diversity among students and faculty, as well as inclusion of students from lower-income families and those with disabilities.

“This recognition underscores Pace’s long-standing mission of providing access and opportunity to students from all backgrounds, and it affirms the value of the diverse, inclusive community we continue to build,” said a representative from Pace University.

The Wall Street Journal rankings prioritize student outcomes like graduation rates, post-graduate salaries, and how quickly graduates see returns on their educational investment. Other considerations include surveys from students and alumni and measures of diversity.

“Pace’s strong results across these measures show that our students are well-prepared to achieve professional success while benefiting from an inclusive and supportive educational environment,” said the spokesperson.

As debates about higher education’s value continue nationally, these rankings highlight Pace as an institution offering cost-effective education that leads to career opportunities and social mobility.
