Sierra Vendas, a member of the Class of 2027 at Pace University, shared on March 23 her experiences as a student in the Lubin School of Business. Vendas is pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing with a minor in Graphic Design and is active in several campus organizations.
Vendas said she chose Pace University for its proximity to major marketing agencies and the connections offered by the Lubin School of Business. “The Lubin School of Business has provided me with countless connections and opportunities that have helped me excel both academically and professionally,” she said. She also noted that professors at Pace are invested in students’ success, which contributed to her decision.
Involvement in campus clubs has played an important role in shaping Vendas’s college experience. She said, “Being involved in a variety of clubs has not only enriched my social life and led to lifelong friendships, but also provided invaluable resources and guidance for professional development.” According to Vendas, workshops hosted by the Advertising Club improved her personal branding skills while participation in IDM Lab gave her hands-on experience with real-world companies.
Vendas highlighted her work on Pace University’s Brand Marketing Team as a significant opportunity during her studies. The team competes annually in the American Advertising Federation National Student Advertising Competition. This year, they are developing a campaign for the National Football League. “This opportunity has pushed me to become more professional by teaching me to meet deadlines, conduct thorough research, and present ideas in a precise yet comprehensive way,” she said.
For other students at Lubin School of Business, Vendas advised joining clubs and attending events to find community and enrich their college journey. Reflecting on her time at Pace University so far, she added: “The Lubin School of Business has made me feel better prepared for life after college, and the people within the program continually inspire me to strive for more.”
