Pace University inducted five new members into its Athletics Hall of Fame at the 2025 Hall of Fame Brunch and Awards Ceremony, an event held during the university’s Homecoming Weekend and presented by Northwell Health. The annual gathering brought together alumni, families, coaches, current student-athletes, and supporters to recognize individuals for their achievements and contributions to Setter Athletics.
Director of Athletics Mark Brown opened the ceremony by welcoming attendees and highlighting the importance of the Hall of Fame. He spoke about the impact each inductee has had on their respective programs and on Pace Athletics overall. “His remarks set the tone for a celebration focused not only on athletic accomplishments but also on character, leadership, and the enduring influence of former student-athletes.”
Tim McCaffery served as emcee for the event, introducing each member of the 2025 Hall of Fame Class through tribute videos before they addressed those in attendance.
The inductees represented a range of sports:
– Jhalen Bien-Aime ’19 was recognized for his role in revitalizing Pace Football. As a two-time All-NE10 selection, he graduated as the program’s all-time leader in rushing touchdowns.
– Liam Brennan ’18 entered as one of men’s lacrosse’s top offensive players. Brennan earned multiple All-NE10 and All-America honors.
– Jocelyne Greco ’07 was honored for her defensive consistency in women’s soccer during one of its strongest eras.
– Annabel Keppel-Palmer ’22 became one of women’s swimming and diving’s most decorated athletes with record-setting performances and several NE10 medals.
– Peyton Wejnert ’20 was inducted after surpassing 1,700 career points in men’s basketball and earning multiple All-Region honors.
The university also acknowledged Dr. Marcus Mayus, a 2000 graduate who joined Pace’s Athletics Hall of Fame in 2012, for his recent induction into the Northeast 10 Conference Hall of Fame. His college career included awards such as NE10 Player of the Year, ECAC Player of the Year, USILA Midfielder of the Year, and team championships.
During a mid-morning intermission at brunch, Jerry McAuliffe and Brenda MacAdam McAuliffe received the Peter X. Finnerty Leadership Award. The award recognizes extensive contributions to Pace University including scholarship support—specifically through their establishment of an endowed scholarship benefiting accounting students who are also athletes—alumni leadership, and mentorship.
The ceremony concluded with final remarks from McCaffery followed by a group photograph featuring past and present Hall of Fame members.
